Recently, Fire Department made an experiment about artificial plants being ignited. This experiment showed that artificial plants burned quickly and produced a lot of smelly toxic gas. People might be in faint if they breath in these toxic gas in a short time.
Artificial plants are usually made of textile, plastic or resin. So far most of the artificial plants are easily ignited by fire or electrical short circuit as they are not coating with flame retardant. Therefore, the ourdoor artificial plants should be far away from fire and electrical wire. For canteens, hotels and shopping malls, the aritificial plants must be coating with flame retardant.
